Katie Adamson , PhD, RN
Katie developed her expertise in simulation evaluation as part of her Master’s in Nursing degree which she began in 2006. She then completed her PhD in Nursing with a dissertation focusing on the psychometric assessment of simulation evaluation instruments used in nursing education. She is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed and invited publications and presentations about simulation evaluation. The column she co-authors in Clinical Simulation in Nursing, “Making Sense of Methods and Measurement,” provides easy to understand and applicable introductions to many of the statistical and research methods necessary for rigorous simulation evaluation and research. She is engaged in ongoing research in the areas of simulation evaluation and psychometric assessment of simulation evaluation instruments.
